Angier Pool-An Angier Summer Tradition

ATTENTION ANGIER POOL MEMBERS!!

Dear Pool Members,

   I know it has been frustrating to ALL in regards to the pool. Sincerely, I do apologize for the many inconveniences. However, allow me to explain a few things now that I have your attention. The pool is 43 years old. It has NEVER undergone a MAJOR renovation in any of these past years. It has always been fixed or repaired but NEVER undergone a COMPLETE renovation. On the other hand, this year the baby pool underwent a COMPLETE renovation, which was an absolute necessity if it was going to continue to be used. In order for the adult pool to work properly, IT REQUIRES A COMPLETE RENOVATION. All these things are disclosed at our general meeting, but only a few care to attend. A $100 assessment fee was put into place so that the necessary renovations in the baby pool and for our drains could be made. We received much grief!!!

   At this present time, we have approximately 50 certificate holders that have not paid their dues or assessment fees for various reasons. If you do the math, that adds up to approximately $17,500.00. This presents a dreadful challenge!

   My family loves the pool, too! We want a clean, family-oriented and workable pool! We WILL continue to do our best. However, I implore you to believe me when I say NECESSARY RENOVATIONS. When the plain sense makes sense seek no other sense. We are a volunteer board under the same obligations as every pool member -- we pay our dues and assessment fee just like you.

   Many will complain, but very few ever choose to make a difference.
